A Touch of Fire

Security agent, Michael Forest, has given up his dreams of a wife and family. When he's assigned to protect Summer Morgana Starr, he's stunned by his attraction to her, an attraction he fights.

Summer, born with the ability to restore fiery lines of power deep in the earth's crust, risks her life each time she heals those lines. For her own safety, she should bond with a man of paranormal powers, but her heart has chosen Michael, a man without any psychic talents.

When a ruthless enemy from Michael's past puts Summer in jeopardy, Michael sacrifices himself to save her life and her sweet touch of fire.

Quotes and Reviews

"Barbara Clark has done a masterful job in this continuing story of the Starr sisters. Her blend of the paranormal with tender, romantic overtones is superb. The heroine is strong with abilities beyond the norm and the hero is rich, powerful, works as a shadow agent in covert activities and is her bodyguard. Add to that combination a rich mixture of sexual tension between the two, the hero dealing with his own demons, and a stalker, you've got a complex plot that is easily followed and makes you tingle to boot!

"This is a paranormal that is very well written and it will keep you on the edge of you seat with its suspense filled plot centered on Summer Starr, a woman with a psychic gift of seeing and hearing the fiery streams of magnetism known as ley lines that pulsed below the earth's surface (earthquakes). She was born with this extraordinary gift of soothing the earth by using the power of the moon and earth working together. Summer is being protected by Michael Forest...

...The sexual tension between Michael and Summer will keep you simmering and the suspense is very intense as not only the man who wants to kill Summer gets closer, but Michael has some deadly enemies as well. Trying to guard Summer is one tough job. I'm exhausted, but happily so. The characters are great and the setting on the California coast is perfect for this gripping story of love and danger. I found myself racing through this book like a lightning rod since I was simply spellbound by this story.

This is the third book in the Sons of Earth and Wind Paranormal Series and here I am coming in at the fascinating end. TEARS OF THE HAWK (Oct. '99) and A BREATH OF HEATHER (April 2000) are the other two books. Now I'll have to go back and read the other books in this "hot" series.

" A TOUCH OF FIRE is a one sitting paranormal romantic suspense novel that never slows down whether the plot focuses on the romance, the suspense, or the paranormal, or a concurrent combo. The story line moves at a rapid rate yet enables the audience to understand the motives of the lead couple whom insists they're not in love. Though the South American and African thugs provide intrigue, they do not add depth to an already powerful third book in the highly recommended Sons of Earth and Wind paranormal Series (see TEARS OF THE HAWK and A BREATH OF HEATHER) for fans will appreciate a touch of Barbara Clark."
