"This is the fifth book in the series Sons of Wind and Earth. Ms. Clark has continued the paranormal saga with Jahil and Rose. It is a wonderful story woven with suspense, treachery, kidnapping attempts amid the exciting tapestry of the Middle East. Through the eyes of Rose and Jahil you get a glimpse of the customs, mores and foods of that wonderful unique land. Some of the foods sounded so appetizing that one would like to give them a try.
This reviewer liked the paranormal aspects of this story. It was interesting to see how their special abilities developed as the story progressed. They discovered new things about themselves and each other. As well one got a glimpse of what would happen if two people with paranormal abilities had children. That was interesting. If you like the paranormal mixed with an exciting love story then this is the book for you!"

Rose Maguire knew Jalil Hamad four years ago as a horse trainer and fellow college student. His exiled uncle Prince Tarif Hamad's arrival at her workplace in America reveals that Jalil is really Prince of Duraza. Tarif asks Rose to use her psychic ability to examine an artifact.
Rose feels she must honor his request, even though the knowledge she discovers is dangerous. Then Jalil shows up at the lab. Now Jalil and Rose embark upon a quest to find the lost mine of the Tears of the Gods, with Tarif in close pursuit.
Tears of the Desert Rose is an excellent fifth installment in Clark's Sons of Earth and Wind series. The open acceptance of the hero's and heroine's psychic powers and their use and development throughout the story create some intriguing scenes. The finale is very pleasing, even though the end of the adventure is a bit of a letdown.”
